Benedict Crabs is a family owned business located in Prince Frederick, Maryland. We are a new business seeking to provide local residents with affordable, good quality, live Maryland Blue Crabs. Our crabs are caught fresh, harvested from the Patuxent River in the area of Benedict/ Prince Frederick, Maryland. Many prefer "river crabs" for their sweet taste. All of our crabs are caught locally and we stand behind our motto that you can trust Benedict Crabs to sell "quality crabs at an affordable price." Having lived in Calvert County for twenty years, many of our friends have encouraged us to sell the crabs we have caught in the area of Benedict/ Prince Frederick, Maryland. We decide to sell crabs at a price we feel is affordable.Because we are a small business, we are able to pass along our savings to our customers. We sell our live crabs by the bushel or by the dozen. Our current prices are:Male #1 Bushel $115.00 1/2 Bushel $65.00 Dozen: $22.00Male #2 Bushel $75.00 1/2 Bushel $45.00 Dozen: $14.00 Female Bushel #1 $65.00 Dozen: $12.00 Limited QuantityFemale Bushel #2 $55.00 Dozen: $8.00 Limited QuantitySizing: At Benedict Crabs we want to keep your purchase simple while offering you good quality crabs. Our #1 crabs are 5 3/4" and up. Our #2 crabs are any crab under 5 3/4" but at least 5 1/8." Benedict crabs WILL NOT sell a crab under 5 1/8." We wouldn't want one and we won't sell you one. To keep our prices low, you may choose between taking a bushel basket with you for a $5.00 deposit per basket, or we will place them in your cooler or basket at no charge. We will gladly accept and pay you $5.00 for any extra serviceable bushel baskets you may have. Thanks!

Our crabs are sold live. If you find any crab has died when you get home, don't cook it. Freeze it and bring it with you and we will apply a credit on your next order on a one for one basis. Benedict Crabs resesrves the right to limit refunds if we feel that you are being unreasonable, however, we will make every effort to ensure you are satisfied.
